Ollie Watkins has the chance to break one of Aston Villa's Premier League records when they travel to Fulham on Saturday.

Ollie Watkins entered the international break with the world at his feet after firing four goals and supplying three assists for Aston Villa in nine appearances this term.

Despite his strong start to the season, Lee Carsley started Jude Bellingham over Watkins for England against Greece as the 28-year-old came off the bench to assist Bellingham.

The Three Lions slipped to an embarrassing 2-1 defeat in that match before running out as 3-1 winners over Finland, with Declan Rice praising Watkins after he grabbed another assist from the bench.

The former Brentford star would have been frustrated to not at least start one of those games but upon returning to Bodymoor Heath, Unai Emery's talisman can break one of Aston Villa's Premier League records against Fulham.

With his incredible pace and movement in behind, Watkins is ranked in the world's top 100 players, becoming one of the planet's most lethal strikers.

Last season, his goal-scoring reached new heights after registering 37 involvements in all competitions.

MORE VILLA STORIESThree of those strikes came in matches against Fulham, netting twice in a 2-1 win over the Cottagers in February and the other in a 3-1 victory at Villa Park.

This weekend, Emery's No.

11 can make history for Aston Villa in the Premier League if he finds the net at Craven Cottage.

As pointed out by Aston Villa Statto, Watkins is currently tied on four top-flight goals against Fulham along with Darius Vassell and Juan Pablo Angel, needing just one more goal to break the record.

Ollie Watkins closing in on Gabby Agbonlahor's Premier League record Watkins isn't just eyeing history against Fulham; he can achieve something special across the season.

Having recently beaten Dwight Yorke's record of 60 Premier League goals for Aston Villa, the clinical Englishman is only 10 behind Gabby Agbonlahor, who currently leads the way in the competition.

Agbonlahor achieved that total during a decade-long spell at Villa Park from 2005 to 2015.

Should Watkins score at least 11 more goals in the top flight this term, he will break the record in five fewer years, which would be a remarkable feat.

Crucially, he would cement himself as the greatest Villa striker to grace the Premier League, and that is a status no one could argue against.
