It was national news and something that the national press would (overly) report on because it cast a negative light on our fans after the hopeless showing at Bournemouth when we were well beaten 2-0 by the Cherries.
When Newcastle are beaten - especially when it was unexpected and the lads were completely off form in the game - fans will not be happy about it.
I wasn't.
Here's the confrontation:

Kieren Trippier was sorry he got into the confrontation but he was simply supporting the players who have been through hell and high water recently because of all our injuries.
For example on Saturday we had 10 first-teamers out injured and Tonali and Guimaraes suspended.
12 first-teamers teamers not available.
And after his confrontation, head coach Eddie Howe put an arm around the popular Newcastle vice-captain - shown in the above photo.
The fan whose outburst gained national attention is Thomas Willoughby and he showed his class by posting this on the NUFC Supporters website:
"I regret having a go at them because I know what all these players have done for this club."
"I hold my hands up and admit I shouldn't have had a go at them that much, but it was just the heat of the moment."
As Thomas knows we are all in this together, and there are some very tough games coming up before the end of the year and we will have to hope that some of the youngsters can step up to the challenge.
But it shows our squad is still not big enough or good enough to go for four different competitions in a season, when we regularly have to play 2 games a week.
The owners need to help Eddie Howe, his staff, and the players out by doing what they did two years ago and bringing in three or four players, so we can have a good second half of what is a very difficult season.
And hopefully, qualify for the Champions League again, but with Aston Villa winning again they are now 5 points ahead of Newcastle and likely to finish in the top six.
