The League Two match between MK Dons and AFC Wimbledon has been postponed due to international call-ups.

The two clubs have been to face one another at Stadium MK on Saturday 18th November, with the game due to have been a 12:30pm kick-off.

However, MK Dons confirmed they have received notification of three international call-ups over the parallel window for national team fixtures, meeting the EFL threshold for postponements, and a request for postponing the game was granted.

Two of the call-ups have been publicly disclosed, with defender Tommy Smith called up by New Zealand and young defender Phoenix Scholtz named in the Northern Ireland under-19s.

The game will therefore not take place as scheduled and will be re-arranged.

In a statement, MK Dons said, "A new date for the Stadium MK clash with AFC Wimbledon will be confirmed in due course. Tickets purchased for the original date will be valid for the re-arranged fixture."

The postponement is the first time this season that MK Dons have had a game postponed due to international call-ups.

MK Dons' last home meeting with AFC Wimbledon was similarly postponed, having been initially scheduled for October 2021 only to be postponed and later taking place in January 2022.

The game is the first of the two meetings this season between MK Dons and AFC Wimbledon, with the return fixture in London due to take place in early March.
