Arsenal playmaker Kai Havertz was the stand-out performer during the 3-2 Premier League win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners were anticipated to face a tough challenge against their north London rivals on the road, but they managed to come on top with maximum points.

Havertz continued his fine league form in 2024 with two more goal contributions.

The German delivered an assist for Bukayo Saka, who made a stunning counter-attacking run before slotting a low shot past goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.

Prior to the interval, Havertz made it 3-0 for the Gunners with a header from a Declan Rice corner.

Arsenal eventually won the game by a 3-2 scoreline following a nervy second half where David Raya and Rice gifted two goals with individual mistakes.

Despite the close shave, there were many positives from the derby. Havertz was the stand-out performer in our opinion with a superb all-round showing.

Aside from his goal and assist, Havertz won an impressive 11 ground and aerial duels with four clearances. He had a passing accuracy of 71 per cent.

Speaking after the game, manager Mikel Arteta said that Havertz was 'sensational' and 'unbelievable'. It was another statement performance from the German.

With the victory, Arsenal continue to remain top of the Premier League with 80 points, but Manchester City are just one point behind them with a match in hand.

The Gunners need to win their remaining three league games of the season and hope that the Cityzens slip up and hand them the advantage in the title pursuit.

Arsenal will return to action against Bournemouth in Saturday's early kick-off at the Emirates Stadium.

The players can't afford to be complacent and must turn up with a strong performance to get the better of Andoni Iraola's side, who are currently 10th in the table.
