AFC Wimbledon have been described as 'very organised' and 'strong' ahead of their trip to Holker Street by Barrow boss Pete Wild.

Barrow come into their fifth home game of the season off the back of their dramatic late comeback against MK Dons and now prepare to welcome the Dons' bitter rivals to South Cumbria.

Johnnie Jackson's Wombles have enjoyed an up-turn in form so far this season after narrowly missing the drop last campaign, with AFC Wimbledon now eighth in League Two and have only lost one of their last six.

Wimbledon also boast the best away record in the league, being unbeaten in seven on the road.

Ahead of the clash at Holker Street, Wild detailed how he expects Barrow's foes to set up.

He said: "First and foremost I am pleased that Wimbledon gave Johnnie [Jackson] and Terry [Skiverton] the chance to change it around this year.

"They are much improved as you can see by their results, they play 4-4-2 and their front four is very good with two old school wingers and two experienced centre forwards and they can really cause you problems if they get into your final third.

"They have got a strong back six who are very organised and allow the front four to go and do the business so there is a real strong structure about them and they have got lots of experience in the team.

Wild also explained how he believes AFC Wimbledon will approach the important home match for the Bluebirds.

He said: "I expect them to come and sit and wait for us to make mistakes and try and hit us on the counter and then when they get in our final third get their two wingers getting balls in the box for their two centre-forwards.

"We want to do well at home and we are putting a little bit of pressure on ourselves to do well at home so hopefully they can use that at one of their many stimuli to push them into the game."
