Seb Ferdinand sat down with Arsenal.com for his first interview after signing a new professional contract with the club.
Right winger Sebastian made a total of 18 appearances across our academy sides last season, scoring twice in both the U18 Premier League and the Papa John's Trophy.
Speaking to Arsenal.com, Sebastian said: "I'm delighted. It's a dream that a lot of young boys have, especially growing up around London. Arsenal is the biggest club in London, so it's a day to celebrate, but not too much because I'm always thinking about what's next.
"It feels brilliant. Every day we come in, work hard, sacrifice a lot and to finally get rewarded with a professional contract at such a prestigious club, words can't really describe it.
"Look at what the first team are doing, pushing for titles and in the Champions League. It's a place where I want to be and develop for the foreseeable future.
"When you see the boys like Bukayo, Reiss, Eddie and Emile in the first team, and Bukayo doing what he's doing with England, it's the ultimate motivation and I want that to be me one day.
"My dad has been my coach for as long as I can remember so I thank him for all of the hours that people haven't seen. My mum of course, and all the coaches at Arsenal who have really pushed me."
It was the game away to Exeter City's first team where Seb made a real impact last season, scoring a brace and registering an assist in a 5-0 win.
"I want to bring goals, assists and excitement in front of crowds," he said. "That's something I really enjoyed away to Exeter last year. Hopefully I can push for more of those moments and even push for the first team at some point."
