Manchester United are braced for a transfer tug-of-war with Arsenal in pursuit of Crystal Palace stalwart Marc Guehi.
As per a fresh report from The Sun, the Premier League giants have been put on red alert after learning of Guehi's unwillingness to sign a new contract at Selhurst Park.
His current terms run until 2026, however, the Eagles will know that the longer they stall his potential sale, the less money they'll recuperate for him.
Therefore, Palace could look to cash in this summer while the centre-half is likely catching the eyes of numerous suitors across Europe due to his stellar performances for England at Euro 2024; he started all of the Three Lions' group-stage matches as well as their last-16 clash and was undoubtedly one of their most standout performers in each.
The only reason Guehi missed out in the quarter-final was due to suspension after he had collected two yellow cards, so he will presumably return to the 11 when England lock horns with the Netherlands in Wednesday's semi-final.
Oliver Glasner will do his utmost to keep Guehi It's thought that the South London outfit would include a release clause in the 23-year-old's contract if he showed the intention of committing his long-term future to the club, but as of yet, they've received no such assurances.
Palace have already had to reluctantly sanction the exit of star winger Michael Olise, who was also on United's summer shortlist, as Bayern Munich completed his PS50 million acquisition over the weekend.
