'What's next': £17m star reacts on Instagram as he trains alone after admitting he has no Arsenal future
Source:Just a

Arsenal are now beginning preparations for the new season and their push for the Premier League title again.

Many players have already returned to pre-season, but others are still competing at Euro 2024 or Copa America.

In the case of others, they will also be late arrivals because their respective teams just got knocked out of those competitions.

To use it as an example, Arsenal had 11 players competing at this summer's Euros, so Mikel Arteta's start and preparations are going to be a little stagnated.

Either way, the Arsenal boss will now be clear in his head who is in his plans for next season, the players he wants to bring in and who could depart.

But there are some players' futures, such as Reiss Nelson, Thomas Partey or Emile Smit Rowe, which are up for debate and fans are none the wiser as to what will happen to them.

But in the case of Albert Sambi Lokonga, it's pretty clear, as he posted on Instagram of him training on his own, what is going to happen to him.

After the previous season ended, Lokonga openly admitted that he has no future at Arsenal - he spent the last campaign on loan at Luton Town.

And now sources have told HITC that the midfielder has agreed terms with La Liga side Sevilla, as his time at the Emirates is coming to an end.

Albert Sambi Lokonga fails to live up to the hype It needs to be noted that Lokonga is still 24, so he has plenty of time to pick himself up, recover and reach the big heights in his career.

But many thought that would happen at Arsenal when he secured a PS17 million (BBC Sport) transfer to the Emirates in 2021.

In truth, Lokonga can't argue too much because many players have improved under Arteta and he joined during a period when the levels were starting to get difficult.

But the Belgian star just couldn't reach those heights and now he will look to begin a new chapter of his career in Spain.
