Arsenal will be looking to strengthen their squad again this summer, but they will not be able to do it without sanctioning sales. Mikel Arteta and Edu were handed a war chest last summer, adding key players such as Declan Rice and Kai Havertz.

Those signings were not quite enough to see the Gunners overcome Manchester City in their title bid, and it now looks as though Arteta will move to add more quality to key areas in a bid to go one better, with a centre-back, winger and striker all on the list of positions that need improving. But the presence of Profit and Sustainability rules mean Arsenal must spend in a balanced fashion, and sales will be important for that reason. With that in mind, we have rounded up the latest on some of the most likely Gunners exitees this summer.

Eddie NketiahNketiah has struggled to land a starting spot at Arsenal, leading to a reported decision by the Gunners to allow the striker to leave. TeamTalk report that Nketiah has been informed that he will be allowed to join a new club this summer providing a sufficient offer is received.

Arteta wants a new frontman this summer, and Nketiah will seemingly make space for said frontman. According to 90min, Arsenal are asking for between PS30million and PS35million for Nketiah, who still has three minutes remaining on his current deal.

Albert Sambi LokongaLokonga has struggled to make an impression at Arsenal, and after a loan spell with Luton Town last season, it looks as though he will be on his way out on another loan deal, this time with a permanent departure pre-agreed.

Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth has said: "Sevilla are advancing in talks with Arsenal over the signing of midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga," Sheth said. "The deal is understood to be an initial loan with performance-related conditions, which would permit the loan turns into an obligation to buy. Lokonga spent last season at Luton and has two years left on his Arsenal contract."

Lokonga has previously admitted that a departure is likely this summer. "For me, I had a discussion with Arsenal and the conclusion was the best thing for me was to leave the club, so now it's up to my agent and the club to find something," the midfielder told BBC Three Counties Radio. "I still have a contract there, one year plus a one-year option so let's see what happens."

Emile Smith RoweIt looks very likely Smith Rowe will move on this summer having been starved for game time in the last 18 months, but it has been pretty quiet on this particular front. It was reported in June that Fulham were 'prioritising' a deal for the attacking midfielder, but nothing has materialised just yet.

Smith Rowe was linked with a move away last summer and in the winter, but it seems this summer will see his time at the Emirates Stadium come to an end. What has been reported is that Arsenal want to secure a fee worth PS25million for Smith Rowe's services. The 23-year-old has a deal until 2026.

Reiss NelsonNelson has worked hard to prove himself over recent years but has ultimately struggled to nail down a spot given the presence of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and others. Nelson said in January: "I have said this before, but Arsenal is my club since I was eight years old. Of course, I want to be playing much more than I am right now. It's good to be coming off the bench, but I want to be starting. I feel like I am proving myself every day in training. So with this momentum, I want to go on and keep playing more."

It now looks as though Nelson finds himself on the list of players who will be allowed to leave this summer, though, with The Athletic reporting earlier this summer that the attacker will be allowed to leave. They add that four Premier League clubs are interested so far, including West Ham, Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest, and Fulham.

Nelson is said to be weighing up his options, while Arsenal are said to want a minimum of PS20million plus up to PS5million in add-ons to sanction a sale.
