'Such high standards': Roy Keane says Arsenal have a player who's good enough to play for every team in the world
Source:Football News,

One Arsenal player has been so good that even Roy Keane has been impressed with him.

The Gunners have top-class players in almost every single position on their pitch. That's why they came close to winning the Premier League title in each of the last two seasons.

Mikel Arteta deserves a lot of praise for building this squad, and we're convinced that Arsenal will challenge for the title again in the 2024/25 campaign.

For them to go all the way, one player, in particular, will be key. Keane appears to be a big fan of him.

Roy Keane explains why Arsenal's Bukayo Saka is allowed to have a 'dip' in form Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has sparked a lot of debates in recent weeks.

The winger was England's best player in their Euro 2024 opener against Serbia. However, in the three following games, every player on the pitch struggled, mainly due to Gareth Southgate's tactics.

The Three Lions looked the same for large parts against Switzerland in the quarter-finals and even went a goal down. It really did look like they would crash out of the competition at one point.

However, Saka stepped up and produced a match-winning display. He scored a stunner to level the game before converting from the spot in the penalty shootout to help England go through.

Since that game, many Arsenal fans have hit back at all the people who criticised Saka and called for him to either be dropped or be moved to left-back.

Ian Wright came under criticism from Arsenal supporters for suggesting the latter, and you can't really blame the fans for their reaction.

Now, Keane has jumped to Saka's defence too, and he has claimed that the Arsenal man is allowed to have a 'dip' in form because he's good enough to play for any team in the world.

Speaking on the Stick to Football podcast, the Manchester United legend said: "Saka has set such high standards. Saka would get in probably every team in the world when he's obviously on the top of his game.

"And he's entitled to a dip. Again, we talk about Bellingham and all this, Saka has played a lot of football for a young kid, hasn't he? A lot of demands at Arsenal to be the top man week in week out.

"It's not easy when you're an attacking player."

The Arsenal man has been consistently brilliant for a few years now, but he still gets questioned a lot more than someone like Phil Foden, who hasn't been anywhere near as consistent as Saka.

Southgate was under pressure to either drop Saka or change his position, but the England boss ignored all the noise and kept his faith in the Arsenal number seven. That proved to be the right decision.

Following his goal against Switzerland, Saka has scored more goals (4) than any other England player in the last two major competitions. He has even surpassed David Beckham's goal record (3) in World Cups and Euros and is just three behind Wayne Rooney (7).

Another incredible stat is that Saka has won 11 Man of the Match awards in 28 starts for England. That is just brilliant, and we're sure Arsenal fans will agree with us when we say he is the country's best player right now.
