Gunners striker Mika Biereth has left Arsenal for SK Sturm Graz for bargain PS4m fee

Mika Biereth has signed for Austrian Bundesliga side SK Sturm Graz in a permanent transfer the club have announced.

The 21-year-old forward joined the Arsenal academy in July 2021 from Fulham, immediately signing a professional deal.

Sporting Director Edu said: "We are so proud of the progress Mika has made since joining us. This new opportunity with Sturm Graz is great for Mika, and it's a good example of what a strong loan development plan produces.

"Mika will be playing Champions League football when the season starts again, which he deserves due to his mentality and performances in recent seasons."

Biereth started last season in Scotland with Motherwell and finishing with his new club, SK Sturm Graz. In 15 appearances for Motherwell, Mika notched six goals with five assists.

The Denmark youth international then signed a short-term loan deal with SK Sturm Graz in January 2024 - with Biereth helping Graz to win a league and cup double for only the second time in their history.

In 22 appearances across all competitions in Austria, Biereth notched nine goals with four assists.

Arsenal said: "We thank Mika for his contribution to the club and wish him all the best in the next stage of his career with SK Sturm Graz."

Biereth scored 12 goals for the Arsenal academy in 26 appearances, as well as providing five assists.

While the young gun failed to make a first team appearance, Biereth had been included in the first team matchday squad as an unused substitute for Premier League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup matches.
