Arsenal are stepping up their attempts to bolster Mikel Arteta's squad this summer.
Riccardo Calafiori could become Arsenal's first signing of the transfer window after the defender's impressive displays at Euro 2024.
The deal to snap up Calafiori from Bologna is reportedly 'virtually done', which would see Mikel Arteta address one key area of his squad.
However, it's no secret that the Gunners remain on the lookout for reinforcements in attack, with much debate over their need for a new striker or winger.
And a forward they have already launched a bid to sign has received huge praise from former Real Madrid star Joselu.
The Spaniard has lit up the tournament in Germany with a series of eye-catching displays off the left-hand side.
It's led to claims that he's on Arteta's radar, with reports stating last week that Arsenal have launched a bid to sign Williams.
And Joselu, now of Qatari outfit Al-Gharafa, has spoken about the winger's quality, claiming Williams gives defenders 'nightmares'.
"When we met him in La Liga last season we already realised he is an absolute rocket of a player," he said.
"In every game against Athletic Bilbao, we analysed him individually, he is so dangerous with the one-on-ones and has now added goalscoring and chance-creating to his game. Nico can leave any full-back in the world with nightmares."
Arsenal are among the sides keen to sign Williams, with the likes of Barcelona, Chelsea and Tottenham also linked
The 21-year-old has admitted he's currently focusing on Euro 2024 but Williams refused to rule out leaving Bilbao.
He said: "I told my agent that I don't want to know anything until the Euro is over."
When asked about next season's Europa League final, which will be played at Bilbao's home stadium, Williams added: "That's a long way off. The year that comes, no one knows what is going to happen. Whatever has to come, will come."
