Report: Arsenal could add £93m to Mikel Arteta's transfer kitty with sale of three players this summer
Source:Football News,

Mikel Arteta's summer of spending at Arsenal is yet to get up and running but the Spaniard could be set to see that change.

Arsenal are yet to see any new faces come through the doors at the Emirates Stadium this summer.

And there are yet to be any major exits from the club with the Gunners remaining fairly quiet in the market almost one month into the window.

However, the north London side are looking to make a major statement in the market with the potential signing of Riccardo Calafiori.

It is believed Arsenal are now closing in on the signing of Calafiori with an agreement between the club and player over a five-year deal.

Any further additions could be funded by the potential sale of three players who Mikel Arteta does not have in his immediate plans.

Signing Calafiori could kickstart Arsenal into life with Arteta's side still holding a number of players who could bring in a decent sum of money.

Despite this, it has been a slow start to the transfer window for Edu Gaspar with neither of the Premier League title rivals really showing their hand just yet.

According to Dharmesh Sheth, Arsenal would be willing to consider the sale of Albert Sambi Lokonga, Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah.

"Talks have obviously started, talks are ongoing, and we could see [Albert Sambi] Lokonga on his way from Arsenal to Seville," Sheth told GiveMeSport.

"There are other players who we've talked about before who don't seem to have a future at Arsenal, and if the price and the offer was right, then I think Arsenal will consider sales.

"The likes of Eddie Nketiah, he looks like he will definitely be leaving Arsenal in this transfer window. Reiss Nelson has asked Arsenal to be kept abreast of all of the offers that come in, because he wants to assess all of his options."

Arsenal could generate PS93m with triple sale Nketiah's chances are slipping away from the Englishman and there are a number of clubs who are believed to be keen on signing him.

However, there may be an issue with Arsenal looking for PS50m this summer for Nketiah.

As for Nelson and Lokonga, the pair are also stuck in a position where opportunities are not there for them in the Arsenal XI.

Lokonga is a play who is subject to interest from Sevilla this summer with Arsenal potentially willing accept just PS13m for him.

And Nelson has been valued in the region of PS30m by the north London side.

If Arsenal could generate around PS90m for these three players this summer, it would mark incredible work from Edu.
