Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham will already be working hard on new arrivals, with the two latter clubs having already made a start on new recruits. The Gunners are expected to kick off their business this week, with incomings and outgoings expected at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners are hoping to go one better this season, and they will need to add more quality this summer to overcome Manchester City, while Chelsea and Spurs know they must also improve to land Champions League football this time around. As transfer talks continue, we have rounded up the latest on London clubs from transfer 'insider' Fabrizio Romano.

Veiga deal close plus Murillo latestChelsea are said to be closing in on a deal for Basel starlet Renato Veiga. The 20-year-old has impressed in Switzerland having previously been at Sporting CP. Romano tweeted: "Renato Veiga's final part of medical will be done on Wednesday then documents will be signed between Chelsea and Basel."

The Blues are also said to be interested in a deal for Nottingham Forest star Murillo, but they face a big asking price that they may not be able to meet this summer as they juggle PSR.

Romano told CaughtOffside: "For Murillo, there is interest from Chelsea. Chelsea asked about information on the deal...it was two weeks ago. At the moment it's not being discussed in terms of a proper negotiation, because it's really expensive, probably around PS55-60m, and for Chelsea this is too much."

Doue and Chiesa to Spurs latestTottenham have been linked with a move for Desire Doue this summer, but they are not alone in expressing an interest. Romano has told GiveMeSport: "Bayern are one of the clubs that are monitoring Desire Doue, the talented winger of Rennes. He's a very good player, a very big talent with many clubs interested in several countries - Paris Saint-Germain have been following the player, and Bayern have been in contact also with the people close to the player.

"Also, Tottenham have Desire Doue in their shortlist alongside other targets, and so many clubs are keeping close eyes on this player, because Doue could be one of the names to watch in the next few weeks. There is movement around the boy, his family have a big influence in the decision - but Doue is for sure in the list of these three clubs. We are waiting for one of them to make a move to understand what is going to happen on both the player's side and the club's side, because for Rennes he is a crucial player but there has been movement."

As for Italy star Federico Chiesa, Spurs may be able to pull off a bargain deal amid previous links. "Chiesa is on the market for EUR25m (PS20m), a good price. He's also open to the opportunity abroad. Chiesa is not the kind of player who is only Italy. He's open to the Premier League or the Bundesliga, he's really keen on that kind of possibility," Romano said.

Arsenal's Calafirori reasoningIt has been well reported that Arsenal are closing in on a deal for Bologna and Italy star Riccardo Calafiori, although some believe it could be linked to a possible Gabriel Magalhaes exit this summer. Speaking on The Debrief, Romano said he does not believe that is the case, saying: "I don't think it's linked to Gabriel's situation. Calafiori is considered the perfect signing for Arsenal because he can play at centre-back, but he is a left-back, he started his career as a left-back, he always played as a left-back, and he's considered a perfect option in both positions."
