Talks are said to be going on between the two clubs over the proposed fee for the Italian who is set on making the move to north London.

However, Arsenal may now be forced to turn their attention to another target or face losing out with another London club looming.

But there can be a lot of positives to be taken from the campaign with Arsenal continuing to close the gap on Pep Guardiola's side.

The encouraging displays last term could suggest only small adjustments to the squad may be needed this summer in the transfer window.

And Arsenal are said to have identified on seriously exciting talent bit face stern competition from clubs within the capital.

According to CaughtOffisde, Fulham are now preparing a PS15m bid for Arsenal target Semih Kilicsoy.

The Gunners are not the only other side showing an interest from the Premier League with Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham also credited with an interest.

Kilicsoy is believed to have prioritised a potential move to the Premier League this summer and his agent has informed Besiktas to accept an offer which may arrived from England.

Semih Kilicsoy labelled as 'wonderkid' with Premier League watching The 18-year-old was in action with Turkey at this summer's Euros with the likes of Spurs sending their scouts to watch him.

However, he only made a cameo appearance off the bench in the final game against the Netherlands so scouts will not have been able to get much of a sighting of him.

Last season, scouts will have had a good chance to look at the striker who netted 11 times in the Super Lig for Besiktas in 23 appearances.

During that time, he earned the label of being a 'wonderkid', but Arsenal are going to have to step up their pursuit if they are to secure his signature this summer.
