Chelsea and Arsenalare set to miss out on a 30-goal striker this summer.

A new striker is understood to be high on the list of priorites for all three of the London clubs with Chelsea keen on adding another new centre-forward, despite the arrival of Marc Guiu from Barcelona.

As for Arsenal, the North London club missed out on Benjamin Sesko after the Slovenian striker decided to sign a new deal at RB Leipzig with there being a release clause inserted which comes into effect in 2025.

Ange Postecoglou's side are also looking for another striking option as they never truly replaced Harry Kane after his move to Bayern Munich last summer.

There had been interest from the London trio in the experienced forward but none of these sides have taken a chance on the 30-goal forward. HITC had reported Chelsea and Arsenal both considered moves.

However, after the clubs agreed a fee, the deal seemingly did not progress as there was no sign of the forward making his way to the Signal Iduna Park to complete the formalities.

This is now not the case as Fabrizio Romano posted a photo on X of Guirassy with his entourage on a plane to Dortmund to get the deal done.

"Never in doubt," Romano wrote on his post on X and it now appears a deal is close to being completed.

The striker market for the Premier League giants is not great With three of the biggest sides in the Premier League looking for a centre-forward this summer, there doesn't seem to be that many top class options on the market.

Napoli's Victor Osimhen seems like the obvious choice but with the Italian demanding his PS110 million release clause, a deal may be difficult.

Elsewhere, Lautaro Martinez is expected to extend his contract at Inter Milan whilst Bologna's Joshua Zirkzee is closing in on a move to Manchester United.

With the trio set to miss out on Guirassy, for such a cheap fee, this could be a decision that comes back to haunt them next season.
