Arsenal are already hard at work preparing for next season as Mikel Arteta bids to ensure his men are ready for another title push. Many players are back in pre-season training, while others have been busy competing in international tournaments.
The Gunners are expected to strengthen again this summer, but they will also need to offload a number of fringe players to ensure they have the space to spend within PSR rules. In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the Emirates Stadium.
Kadioglu hijackArsenal were said to have submitted a bid for Turkish star Ferdi Kadioglu back in June, but they did not receive a response with the player opting to conclude his Euro 2024 campaign before making any decisions over his future.
With the Gunners reportedly holding a strong interest, it's now being reported that Manchester United are hoping to hijack the deal for the wing-back. Fenerbahce sporting chief Mario Branco has said of a possible deal: "We managed to attract one of the biggest names in world football, the only coach in the world to have won all three European competitions. We know what profiles the coach wants. Thanks to our club president, we are in a position to attack the transfer market how Jose Mourinho requires."
It will be interesting to see whether the likely arrival of Riccardo Calafiori changes anything on the Kadioglu front given the Italian defender can play at full-back. Although, Arsenal do need a winger, and that is a role the Turkey international is capable of playing.
Lunin linksArsenal have been linked with a move for Real Madrid back-up keeper Andriy Lunin. The Ukrainian could be on the lookout for a new club this summer after getting a taste of regular first team football last season only to be replaced by Thibaut Courtois for the Champions League final.
According to The Boot Room, the Gunners are one of the clubs to have enquired about Lunin's availability as they prepare for Aaron Ramsdale's possible departure. Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City have also been linked. The 25-year-old only has one year remaining on his contract, and Real Madrid may well entertain a sale.
It's claimed Lunin is considering his future as things stand, but Arsenal will not be able to offer him regular starts given the recent permanent signing of David Raya and the Spaniard's form last season.
Driessen move mootedDe Telegraaf journalist Valentijn Driessen believes Arsenal also have their eyes on Feyenoord goalkeeper Justin Bijlow as they look to add a new number two to Raya. Driessen said on the De Telegraaf podcast via SportsWitness: "Bijlow was in the interest of Manchester United and Arsenal, but everywhere as a second goalkeeper. He is used to that now. He is even the third goalkeeper here [at the Euros]. So, I think he can adapt to the role.
"Especially if he can go to such a big club, where you have so many matches that you always have to play a number of matches. I think that if those big clubs sign up for him, he will be gone."
