Report: 'Outstanding' Arsenal player is set to discuss personal teams with new club over video call
Source:Football News,

As he nears an Arsenal exit, one Mikel Arteta signing is now set to discuss personal terms with his prospective new club over a video call.

In order to sufficiently strengthen Arteta's squad this summer, Arsenal need to offload several players on the periphery of things, who can generate added funds to spend and also create space on the wage bill.

Arteta has a sizable squad, but only a small group of players he appears to trust in the biggest of moments.

William Saliba for example played every single Premier League minute, a policy that won't always be sustainable.

This summer is all about fine-tuning for Arsenal, subtle changes that will help Arteta better navigate the festive schedule when it comes to it for example.

And as part of that clear out, Edu will need to off-load a few players who are returning from loan without a squad role to play.

Albert Sambi Lokonga already seems to have secured a move to Sevilla, and now Nuno Tavares seems to be heading in a similar direction.

Nuno Tavares set for Lazio contract talks ahead of Arsenal exit Lazio have agreed a fee to sign Tavares from Arsenal, who now only has one-year left on his contract.

Arsenal have reportedly agreed a loan deal with an obligation-to-buy which will see the 24-year-old leave north London permanently.

As reported, Ajax also showed tentative interest in signing Tavares, but Lazio have made a much more concerted effort.

Arsenal have made it clear to Tavares that he can leave following his disappointing season on loan at Nottingham Forest.

Tavares, who has been labelled 'outstanding' for some of his performances in the past, is now a long way from Arteta's first team plans, who is hoping to add Riccardo Calafiori to his backline imminently.

The left-footer will provide a defensively reassuring presence for Arsenal on the left, whilst also able to step into the midfield gracefully with the ball too when needed.

All that being said, Arteta should considering selling one Arsenal forward this summer.
