Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka is preparing for the biggest game of his life.
England and Spain meet in Berlin on Sunday for the final of Euro 2024, with Gareth Southgate hoping his team can finally end their 58-year wait to win a major trophy.
Bukayo Saka has played in many big and highly-pressured matches for Arsenal, but nothing compares to what is on the line for his country.
Euro 2020 was the last time Saka and his teammates felt such heat, as they are now hoping to write the wrongs of that Italy defeat right against a very good Spain side.
There have been many top performers at this summer's Euros, with several big names faltering, Kylian Mbappe struggled with France and Cristiano Ronaldo was named in the worst XI of Euro 2024.
But others have been outstanding.
Spain's Lamine Yamal is a record-breaker at Euro 2024, whilst his partner in crime Nico Williams is going to be on the other flank against England.
If Spain are victorious, then you feel either of those players could win the player of the tournament, with midfielder Rodri also dubbed 'the most valuable player'.
But what happens if England win? Then there must be some English players who can step forward to claim that prestigious individual award?!Steve McManaman suggested two names, Manchester City centre-back John Stones and Arsenal's star boy, Saka - he has scored one goal all tournament and put away his penalty against Switzerland.
MORE ARSENAL STORIESBut when the name of Saka was suggested, it left the 1998 World Cup winner Frank Leboeuf shocked as he stated 'oh, come on', as he told ESPN.
The former centre-back thinks that, even if England win the Euros, the player of the tournament doesn't necessarily have to be an English player because of how poorly the team have performed.
Bukayo Saka best player at Euro 2024? Who would be the player of the tournament if England won Euro 2024: "It can't be an English guy," insisted Leboeuf.
Steve McManaman added: "Could it be Stones? I think Saka has done okay as a forward.
He has been better than most forwards.
"Leboeuf responded: "Oh, come on! He scored a (one) goal, okay, but.
" Shaka Hislop then stated: "I am thinking Stones.
You think of England's attack.
Nobody kind of standsout.
"But Marc Cucurella has looked a different player in Germany, including towards the second half of the previous campaign.
Many used that big money price tag to verbally bash him, but he has been brilliant for Spain and he could now end England's chances of winning the Euros.
The battle between Cucurella and Saka is going to be interesting because if Gareth Southgate allows the Arsenal winger to push him as high as possible, then the Chelsea left-back is in trouble.
