'Fantastic' Arsenal ace agrees personal terms, clubs now in talks over £50m asking price

HITC understands that one Arsenal ace has agreed personal terms as he inches closer to leaving North London.

The only piece of business completed by the Gunners so far this summer is their deal to make David Raya's stay permanent.

However, that is set to change after Arsenal struck an agreement to sign Riccardo Calafiori - the Italian defender is set to sign for the Londoners in the coming days.

But as Calafiori arrives at The Emirates, he might bump into Eddie Nketiah on his way out of the club.

Arsenal have placed a PS50million asking price on Nketiah amid interest from French outfit Olympique Marseille.

HITC has been told by sources that Nketiah has now agreed personal terms in principle with Marseille over a summer move. The two clubs are now continuing to negotiate a suitable fee.

However, Marseille are not willing to meet their PS50million asking price for Nketiah.

Talks between both clubs are now continuing over the size of the fee, with Arsenal insisting they want a bigger fee than the PS35million paid for Folarin Balogun by Monaco last summer.

What next for Arsenal? With Nketiah agreeing personal terms over a move, his exit this summer would free up space for Arsenal to sign a new striker.

Gabriel Jesus has settled under Arteta but his goal tally isn't enough to fire them to the Premier League title.

With only four league goals to his name last season, Arsenal must find a more consistent striker this summer to lead the line if they plan to beat Manchester City to the league title.

The same can be said for Nketiah - despite being branded "fantastic" by Ian Wright, his goal record at Arsenal was never enough for him to cement a first-team spot.
