‘Next week’: ‘Excellent’ Arsenal target could be about to sign for PSG instead - journalist
Source:Football News,

Arsenal have been linked with a number of midfield players this summer.

Indeed, the Gunners have looked at tons of midfield options, but, unfortunately, many of these targets won't work out.

Martin Zubimendi wants to stay at Real Sociedad, while Bruno Guimaraes looks set to stay at Newcastle.

Joao Neves has also been linked with Arsenal this summer, but, unfortunately, it looks as though the 'excellent' midfielder isn't Emirates-bound either.

Indeed, speaking on Forest Fan TV, Ben Jacobs has shared an update on Neves' future when discussing PSG's plans, and he says that Neves could actually join the French champions next week.

Joao Neves could join PSG next week Jacobs shared what he knows about the midfielder.

"PSG will move in the market, their number one priority is Joao Neves from Benfica, and at the moment they're pretty optimistic about getting that deal done. Maybe even as early as next week," Jacobs said.

Indeed, Joao Neves alongside Vitinha and Fabian Ruiz is an almost perfect multi-functional and dynamic midfield.

Of course, PSG still need to freshen up their attack after losing Mbappe this summer, but they may well turn towards another Arsenal target in order to do that as PSG continue to be linked with Victor Osimhen.

Le Parisiens have been perennial underachievers on the European stage for a long time now, but with more balance and better coaching, maybe PSG are finally ready to break their hoodoo and win the Champions League.

Neves to PSG could be one of the signings of the summer, and this could well affect next season's Champions League race as PSG continue to strengthen and improve.
