Leah Williamson believed we had more to give after a frustrating 0-0 draw with Emirates Stadium, but knows the result will galvanise us going forwards.

Our vice-captain returned to the squad after missing the opening two league matches, appearing as a second-half substitute.

"I think a little bit of intensity from the start," said Leah. "[Everton] pressed really well in the first half but we were left with too little time at the end.

"They're a very big team and a strong team, so defending the box is their strength. That was the circumstance that we presented with there. I think the keeper made some great saves as well, so it's a credit to them for that. But I think we could have created more clearcut chances."

With our first Champions League game away to Bayern Munich on Wednesday and then a vital London derby against Chelsea on Saturday, Leah acknowledged that the desire to raise the level was high among the team.

"Today's result wasn't great, but if we needed a bit of fuel and a little bit of fire, or you didn't know what to expect from us on Wednesday, I think you do now. Even the fans and the atmosphere at the end and the energy that is generated from them.

"It's going to be a long six days until we're back here again so I'm looking forward to that. It gives us energy and it motivates us in a way that is special so I'm looking forward to that bit.
