Mariona Caldentey is officially up and running in the Women's Super League, scoring one of our two goals against West Ham on Sunday afternoon.

Our number 8 struck from the spot to give us a deserved lead and we caught up with her after the full-time whistle to reflect on the win.

Here is everything she had to say:

on getting the win over West Ham...

Of course, we are happy with that win. There were hard days and hard weeks and I think the last week we deserved those two wins. We worked hard on that, so we are happy we stick together as a team and we just need to keep going, improving and keep on the way to winning.

on scoring the penalty to give us the lead...

Yeah, scoring goals always feels good and even more when the score is that close and can help the team to give the points. I know normally Kim takes the penalty, she wasn't on the pitch, so I'm happy with that!

on her change of position and the second-half changes...

Well, my role is always to be more in the pocket. It doesn't matter if I start on the wing or as the number ten. I'm just trying to do my best in every position. I think the girls who came in helped us a lot. I think that's what we need because the league is long, the season is long, so we need all of us. And today we showed that everyone is ready to play, everyone can add value to the team and that's so nice.

on taking this good feeling into the international break...

Yeah, of course. It feels a bit of relief to leave knowing that we have done our job and that feels nice. So now everyone will be focused on the national team and then we come back and just continue winning, I hope.
