Kolo Toure has been speaking about the current crop of Arsenal players today and believes William Saliba is nowhere near as good internationally.

Saliba is one of a number of top players in the France set up at the moment. However, his performances for Les Bleus have not quite hit the levels he's shown at Arsenal.

The big defender has been outstanding for Arsenal though and is looking every bit the quality defender Arsenal thought they were getting when they shelled out PS27m for him.

However, Toure has been speaking on TalkSPORT today and has said that despite his good form for the Gunners, Saliba is just nowhere near the same player when he plays for France.

Kolo Toure says William Saliba is better for Arsenal Speaking on TalkSPORT this afternoon, Toure admitted that he likes Saliba. However, he has concerns over his ability to adapt for France, albeit he admitted that is due to the system and players involved.

"When you have a team who is well organised, who work together, pressing together, there is a link.When you play for Arsenal he plays fantastic, but when he plays for France he's not the same. That shows the importance of playing with good players," Toure said,

Of course, playing internationally can be a completely different kettle of fish and Saliba will have to work to keep improving for the French side.

However, the fact he keeps getting picked just shows how good he is. This France squad is full of exceptional players and Saliba getting in shows he's playing at a high level.

Yes, improvements can always be made. But there is no doubt that William Saliba is one of the top defenders in Europe right now.
