Arsenal have had success in bringing academy players into the first team over recent months, and they could now have the next one coming off the conveyor belt.
This season both Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly have broken into Mikel Arteta's team and made a positive impact.
Nwaneri has made 26 appearances in all competitions so far this season, scoring seven goals, despite being just 17-years-old.
Lewis Skelly has also made the left-back position his own since the turn of the week.
He is however currently serving a suspension after being sent off against West Ham.
Attacking midfielder Max Dowman has sent a clear message about his potential with his performance for the club's U18 side in the FA Youth Cup tie against Manchester United.
Despite being just 15 years old, he stood out playing alongside and against players older than him.
With the score at 1-1 the teenager both won and scored a penalty for Arsenal's youth side to make it 2-1.
A late equaliser from Manchester United, and then another goal in extra time saw Arsenal fall to defeat at the quarter-final stage.
But Dowman's performance is bound to have caught the eye of people watching on.
The midfielder has trained with Arteta's first team this season and was included in the squad who travelled to Dubai for the warm-weather training camp last month.
Dowman is a regular in Arsenal's U18 team this season.
His next step is expected to be to step up to the U21 development squad.
Despite his tender age, it will be hoped that the teenager can use both Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly's step into the first team picture as an example and inspiration.
