West Ham player removed from international squad already after suffering injury, report claims
Source: Hammers

West Ham United have nine players who are away on international duty over the next nine days or so.

The players would have gone into the international break in fine spirits after West Ham won our final two games before the break.

It has been a tough Premier League season for the Hammers so far, but the win over Forest has everyone looking up again.

That said, nothing is ever smooth sailing when it comes to being a West Ham fan is it?

Rumours emanating from Morocco claim that Nayef Aguerd has withdrawn from the Morocco squad after picking up an injury.

The 27-year-old has received his fair share of criticism this season, and has already been linked with a return to Rennes!

However, I really can't see that happening, not this year anyway. He does have his good points as well. His range of passing is a real weapon for us, and David Moyes will be cursing his luck if the Moroccan has sustained a serious injury...

West Ham man pulled from international duty after injury Aguerd has seemingly suffered an injury, and as a result, will be replaced by Jawad El Yamiq in the Morocco national team squad.

That's according to Morocco Zone, who claim to be 'Your source of news and passion for Moroccan football'. DM Sport make the same claim.

Now, Aguerd has actually been really poor at times this season, with his concentration levels and shocking positional awareness costing us on numerous occasions.

However, he improved massively during our 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday and as mentioned earlier, his range of passing is hugely important to us when we try to hit teams on the counter.

If Aguerd can tidy up his defensive actions and show more focus, he'll be a very good player for us - a vital squad member in fact.

Moyes obviously loves the former Rennes ace and has started him in every single Premier League game this season that he has been available for.

Whether he'll be ready for West Ham United's game against Burnley in 11 day's time remains to be seen though, with the Morocco international apparently having suffered an injury whilst away on duty with his country.
