The English Football Association are to explore options of luring Arsenal sensation Chido Obi-Martin back to representing England, according to the Daily Mail.

The 15-year-old grabbed the headlines at the weekend after netting ten goals for the Gunners under-16s in their 14-3 demolition of their Liverpool counterparts on Saturday.

Obi-Martin currently plays for the Denmark under-17s, bagging a goal in their 4-1 win against Lithuania and also scoring in their 2-2 draw with Austria in the 2024 under-17 UEFA European Championship qualifiers in October.

However, the Arsenal academy starlet played for England under-16s in February 2023 just shortly after making five appearances in late 2022 for Denmark under-16s.

He returned to the Denmark under-16s squad in April, scoring twice in three appearances and earning a call-up to the Danish under-17 side.

Obi-Martin can also play for Nigeria through his father and has already earned comparisons to Nigerian international striker and Napoli hitman Victor Osimhen in the Danish media.

He can still switch allegiance back to England if he wants, and the FA are keen on looking at that route having monitored his progress since last winter.

The 6ft 2in sensation will be 16 on November 29, but he has already played for Arsenal under-21s, featuring for them in October and earning an invitation to train with the first-team on a couple of occasions by manager Mikel Arteta earlier this month.

The Denmark-born striker joined the Gunners academy last year and was promoted to the under-18 side shortly afterwards.

He notched a hat-trick in a 4-0 victory against Southampton in September in his first start for them and it is clear to see why England are desperate to have him given his huge potential.
