Aston Villa fielded a team of youngsters against Liverpool in 2021, resulting in a 41 defeat

COVID19 outbreak forced the first team to isolate, leading to Mark Delaney's youth side playing against Liverpool

Three years later, let's take a look at where the Villa players from that day are now

In 2021, Aston Villa faced a challenging situation when they had to field a team of young players against Premier League champions Liverpool. This decision was made due to an outbreak of COVID19 within the squad, which resulted in the first team missing an FA Cup clash.

The match saw some memorable moments despite the lack of wellknown names on the pitch. The young Lions took an early lead through Louie Barry but ultimately fell short as Liverpool scored four goals.

Looking back three years later, it is interesting to see where these young players are now:

Akos Onodi: Despite performing well during the game and making eight saves, he currently plays for Akritas Chlorakas in Cyprus.

Callum Rowe: Started at left back and is currently without a club.

Mungo Bridge: Also no longer with Villa and without a club after starting at centre half.

Jake Walker: Last seen with Newtown AFC after playing as right back for Aston Villa's youth side.

Dominic Revan: Now plays for Barnet in National League as second centreback during that game.

Mamadou Sylla: Left Villa and now plays for Almeria after featuring as part of midfield five against Liverpool.

Ben Chrisene: Still with Villans but joined Blackburn Rovers on loan this month after starting as left wingback.

Kaine KeslerHayden: Out on loan from Villa and currently playing for Plymouth Argyle after being part of midfield five during that game

Arjan Raikhy & Lamare Bogarde were also part of central midfielders; Arjan Raikhy has since joined Leicester City while Bogarde returned to play for Bristol Rovers.

Finally, Louie Barry who scored one goal still remains with Aston villa but went out on loan Stockport County taking league two by storm
