Aston Villa head coach Unai Emery has challenged Ollie Watkins to continue his strong start to the season for club and country, having scored on his return to the England squad last week.
Watkins bagged the only goal of England's 1-0 win over Australia, his third in eight appearances for the Three Lions.
He earned the recall to the England team on the back of recording six goal involvements in his last three Premier League games, scoring four times.
England manager Gareth Southgate was at Villa Park to see Emery's side thrash Brighton 6-1, when Watkins netted his second hat-trick of the season in all competitions.
The Villa boss was delighted to watch Watkins lead the line and score for England in the October international break, but wants more from his striker.
"The challenge for him is Sunday.
He did this, but it's not enough for me," Emery said.
"He needs to show us his prowess and his consistency starting on Sunday.
"We are very happy with him, but I'll be very demanding.
On Sunday I will want the performance we need from him.
" Asked if he has set Watkins any specific targets, Emery replied: "I chat with him collectively and individually.
We speak and meet together.
"Villa have made a strong start to the league having won five of their first eight games, but missed the opportunity to move into the top four last time out by drawing 1-1 with Wolves at Molineux.
Ahead of Sunday's 4.
30pm clash with West Ham, Emery expects nothing less than a difficult match.
"As a team, they are making one step ahead," he said.
"They were good defensively.
But we analysed the last matches they played.
Against Newcastle and Freiburg, plus the match against Liverpool.
They played really, really well in possession.
"Edson Alvarez is playing in the role of Declan Rice and doing very well.
They really impressed me in the way they are getting one step ahead playing defensively better.
"Asked about Alvarez, Emery said: "I didn't know him, I asked our scout about him, I was told he was a very good player who did well at Ajax, and I was impressed how they played with him.
"How many goals do you think Watkins can score this season? Tell us in the comments section.
