Report: 'Unbelievable' Leeds player now 'weighing up his future' as Aston Villa join race to sign him
Source:Leeds United

Aston Villa have joined the race to sign one Leeds United player this summer and the Elland Road ace is now said to be considering his options ahead of making a decision.

Leeds are close to confirming their second biggest permanent sale of the summer in the form of Glen Kamara. Finland star Kamara is set to join Ligue 1 side Rennes for a fee said to be in the region of PS8.5m.

He is set to join Archie Gray in leaving, who has moved to Tottenham. Charlie Cresswell could face Kamara next season when Rennes and Toulouse meet on November 10, while Kris Klaesson has moved to Poland.

Marc Roca and Diego Llorente have both been allowed to leave permanently for less than a combined PS8m fee, far less than the near PS30m it cost to sign both players during Victor Orta's stewardship at Leeds.

Newcastle, Liverpool and Chelsea are all keen with Eddie Howe said to be a 'big admirer', so much so the Toon gaffer would offload Miguel Almiron to an interest Saudi Arabian club to fund a Summerville move.

Palace could also be keen after selling Michael Olise to Bayern Munich. Now, The Mirror (14/07, p74) say Summerville is 'weighing up his future' and Leeds will allow Summerville to leave the club this summer.

Newcastle are well-stocked on the left with Anthony Gordon and Harvey Barnes and from the right, the Leeds ace is not as effective. Palace have lost Olise and that could free up a space for Summerville.

But a move to Villa would give Summerville the chance to play in the Champions League. Described as "unbelievable" by Dan James, Summerville is a player with big ambition and Villa would suit him.
