Farhad Moshiri caused a stir at the London Stadium during the clash between Everton and West Ham, according to Liverpool Echo journalist Chris Beesley.

The Toffees majority shareholder was in attendance for the Premier League match on Sunday (29 October), which Everton won 1-0.

Moshiri was joined in the stands by Everton assistant manager Ian Woan, who was suspended for the match and therefore unable to be with manager Sean Dyche in the dugout.

"Along with Woan, other high-ranking Everton officials were also causing a stir in the stands," Beesley wrote for the Liverpool Echo.

"In fact we're going right to the top here in the shape of the club's want-away majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri who was attending a Blues match for the first time since his side played the corresponding fixture against West Ham United last season on January 21, a 2-0 defeat after which he sacked previous manager Frank Lampard.

"Before kick-off, the Monaco-based businessman was photographed next to Josh Wander, one of the two co-founders of 777 Partners, the Miami private investment firm who he has agreed to sell his entire 94.1% stake in Everton to.

"However, later on, Moshiri had moved away from the prospective owner and was next to director of football Kevin Thelwell who he'd watched the previous trip to the Hammers with."

Huge win

Everton have endured a pretty torrid time under Moshiri, particularly in recent years, with the Merseyside club involved in back-to-back Premier League relegation battles over the last two seasons.

A similar scenario could happen once again this season, but Dyche's men have eased those fears with a huge win in East London.

It was a superb team performance from the visitors, with not many in or out of the London Stadium expecting them to come away with all three points.

The likes of heavy hitters Moshiri, Thelwell and Wander all watched on as star striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin impressively fired in the only goal of the game early in the second half.

They will all have been very pleased with the events on the pitch, with West Ham constantly testing the Toffees but ultimately failing to get past them.

The powers that be will be desperate for a similar display and indeed result when the club host Burnley in the League Cup on Wednesday (1 October).

In other Everton news, Micah Richards was stunned by one Toffees player on Sky Sports at full-time against West Ham.
