Aston Villa’s 82-touch titan continues to repay Emery faith after ‘stellar showing’ v Fulham
Source:Astonvilla

Aston Villa defender, Ezri Konsa has seen plenty of praise aimed in his direction following his performance in the 3-1 win over Fulham.

Back at Villa Park and back to winning ways for Aston Villa as three goals was enough to secure three points.

Despite some sticky spells, Unai Emery will be with the performance and more importantly with the result.

Goals from John McGinn, Ollie Watkins, and an Antonee Robinson own goal, helped to get the Villains over the line.

Raul Jiminez did get his name on the scoresheet and hit the post, but on the whole, Villa deserved the three points.

It's frustrating that the Villains couldn't secure a clean sheet to add to the positivity surrounding the win.

What has been said about Ezri Konsa? Against the Cottagers, Konsa completed the most passes of anybody on the pitch, such was his importance to build up play.

He completed 94% of those to boot. Just going to show the quality that he possesses. Adding to this was three out of four long passes reaching their target.

Writing for the Birmingham Mail, John Townley has referred to Konsa's performance as 'another stellar showing'.

Continuing on Townley added: "rarely puts a foot wrong. He picked up his second caution of the season for time-wasting, which was harsh."

It is safe to say, that despite not having much to do, he still performed to his typically high level.

The Englishman was be annoyed with himself and his teammates that they weren't able to get a clean sheet.

So far this season in the Premier League, the Villains have only managed two which isn't really good enough.

The defensive showings are always top-drawer but lapses in concentration appear to happen often to throw that off.

Konsa can feel hard done to that he hasn't received an England call-up but Villa fans won't care as long as his performances continue.
