Alan Shearer has heaped praise on the "fantastic job" Unai Emery has done at Aston Villa.
The Villans have been transformed since their Spanish manager arrived at B6 just over a year ago. Emery has taken a team who were struggled under Steven Gerrard to a side who are playing European football for the first time in over a decade and are pushing for a top four finish.
And after Villa secured a 13th successive win at Villa Park in the Premier League on Sunday, Shearer was full of praise for how the former Arsenal, Villarreal and Sevilla boss has built a side that can compete with anyone.
"What a job he [Emery] has done," he told the Rest is Football podcast. "They are unbelievable, full of confidence, passing it around and moving the ball very fast.
"[Ollie] Watkins is scoring goals and (John) McGinn's playing some really good football. They have had a couple of long-term injuries that they have had to deal with, so he's doing a fantastic job, Unai Emery."
Villa are next in action after the international break away at Tottenham on Sunday, November 26 (kick-off: 2pm). They currently sit fifth in the table and are just a point off fourth-placed Spurs.
