Latest Aston Villa injury news and Jacob Ramsey update ahead of Tottenham

Aston Villa boss Unai Emery has been forced to deal with several injury setbacks since the start of this season.

Tyrone Mings and Emi Buendia were both ruled out for at least the majority of the campaign back in August, while Jacob Ramsey and Alex Moreno have also suffered setbacks with their respective injury issues. Moreno has since returned to the matchday squad and could make his first appearance of the season against Tottenham after the November international break.

Diego Carlos, Bertrand Traore, Boubacar Kamara, Moussa Diaby, Emi Martinez, Leon Bailey, Lender Dendoncker and Tim Iroegbunam have all also had injury issues in the first thrree months of the campaign. Jacob Ramsey After recovering from a broken metatarsal - which kept him sidelined for 10 weeks - in September, Ramsey suffered a reoccurrence of the foot injury. He had returned from injury last month in the defeat at Legia Warsaw and came off the bench in wins against Chelsea and Brighton. He could make his comeback against Tottenham after the November international break after Emery gave an update ahead of the club's match with Fulham, revealing the 22-year-old is close to returning to full training at Bodymoor Heath.

Tyrone Mings Mings suffered a long-term knee injury during the defeat at Newcastle United on the opening weekend of the season.
