BARROW AFC have been told to show 'more quality' in front of the goal when they face AFC Wimbledon by boss Pete Wild.

The Bluebirds come into the game against Johnnie Jackson's Wombles buoyed by their extra comeback against MK Dons last time out in the league.

In this game at the Stadium MK, Barrow were pegged back but fought back into the clash, eventually ending the game with the lion's share of possession, 62 per cent, and 18 shots, with nine of target, on the Dons goal.

The Bluebirds now return to Holker Street for their fifth home tie of the season so far and ahead of this fixture Wild has urged his side to be on the 'front foot' and give their home form a boost.

"We are at home, we have got to be on the front foot," He said.

"We have got to try and be the aggressor and try and pick up points at home and all that stuff from last week that we have built on on the training ground so we can be a better version of us come Saturday.

Wild also discussed the quality of his side in front of goal, demanding that his Bluebirds find a clinical edge against their upcoming opponents who have the second-best defensive record and best away record in the fourth tier so far.

He said: "We have got to be better in both boxes, some of the ways we are getting into the opposition box are fantastic and we are getting the shots at goal but we are not having the quality to shoot at goal and that is the bit we have got to better.

"If weren't getting chances, if we weren't getting into those areas then we would have a bigger problem.

"Our problem now is that we have to show more quality in front of goal and that is the part we are trying to work on."
