View: Three key pass West Brom ace must start v Coventry after stunning QPR cameo

West Brom manager Carlos Corberan has plenty of big decisions to make for the upcoming trip to Coventry City.

The Baggies take on last season's play-off finalists in Championship action on Monday (30 October). The home side currently occupy 20th place in the league table, with the visitors sitting five points ahead in ninth.

The Albion make the trip on the back of a 2-0 victory against 10-men QPR on Tuesday (24 October), with Brandon Thomas-Asante and Grady Diangana having got the goals.

The attacking duo certainly impressed at The Hawthorns, but one player that also shone brightly was midfielder Alex Mowatt, despite being on the pitch for just 36 minutes. The 28-year-old replaced fellow midfielder Okay Yokuslu early in the second half, impressing in various areas.

As per Sofascore, Mowatt boasted a 92% passing accuracy and won his only duel, as well as making two interceptions and one tackle.

Most impressive, however, were his three key passes, a joint-high for the match, with his teammate Diangana also making three, although the latter did play the entire 90 minutes.

West Brom travel to Coventry full of confidence, but also with the knowledge that a win could send them into the play-off places.

That should serve as a great incentive for Corbern and his players, with the Albion undoubtedly having a better chance of clinching all three points with Mowatt in the starting XI.

There is great competition for places at the Baggies, with such competition undoubtedly needed if the club hope to gain promotion to the Premier League this season.

In other West Brom news, an 88% Baggies star has deservedly been handed recognition from Sky Sports after his blistering start to the season.
