With Aston Villa up next for Brentford on Saturday, midfielder Vitaly Janelt believes the Bees will be boosted by the return of Bryan Mbeumo and Kevin Schade. Mbeumo is pushing for a first start since 6 December having made substitute appearances against Burnley, Manchester United and Brighton and Hove Albion, while Kevin Schade stepped up his return from an adductor injury by scoring a penalty in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Jersey Road on Tuesday. "The last home game that we played against them we were a bit unlucky - we put a great performance in, especially with how many injuries we had - and now week by week we have players coming back.
"We're happy to have Bryan back and I think Kev might be in the squad. We can attack Aston Villa and the last games."
Speaking about the Bees' goalless draw with Brighton, Janelt said: "We did a good step in the right direction and now we can continue the unbeaten run in the final seven games.
"We've had two good performances at home. It was an even game, 50-50. It was a deserved point for both."
The German added: "It was not easy. On set-pieces, throw-ins and goal kicks, we wanted to press them high and go man for man.
"When second balls drop for them it's not easy because they wanted to overload on our right side.
"My job was to keep the central area clean because we know they love to play through."
