Wolves are on transfer alert after Bristol City's stance on Tommy Conway emerged.

According to the Bristol Post, Tommy Conway could have played his last game for the Robins. The West Country club are open to listen to offers for the striker with their patience wearing thin over his unwillingness to sign a new deal.

The report adds that Conway is not on any transfer list as such but that it is likely he will depart Ashton Gate this summer. His contract expires in 2025 and Bristol City would prefer to cash in now rather than lose him for free next summer.

Wolves are one of several clubs that were linked with him in the winter along with Scottish Premiership giants Celtic and Rangers. Nottingham Forest, Leicester City and Brentford are three other Premier League teams interested in Conway.

If Conway went to Scotland then Celtic and Rangers would only have to pay PS300,000 in compensation but if an English club signed him it would be considerably more. Bristol Post's report adds that the decision to move Conway is on being driven by owner Steve Lansdown as he favours a resolution rather than allowing the contract saga to drag on.

Conway is eight appearances shy of 100 games for Bristol City and has 25 goals and six assists in 92 matches. During his time in the West Country, he flat shared with Alex Scott who was a long term target for Wolves, but he ended up signing for AFC Bournemouth for around PS25m.

A transfer resolution for Conway won't be sorted in the immediate future as he is out in Germany with the Scotland national team. He was drafted in to Steve Clarke's squad after an injury to Lyndon Dykes and will be away on international duty until at least June 23 which is Scotland's final group stage game.
