Sheffield Wednesday have revived their interest in Brentford attacking midfielder Myles Peart-Harris, according to The Star. Sheffield Wednesday have funds available for transfers this summer and Danny Rohl will be keen to put them to use after committing his future to the club.

The transfer window opens on Friday and plenty of players have been linked with moves to Hillsborough.

The Star states that Sheffield Wednesday have revived their interest in attacking midfielder Myles Peart-Harris, who is back at Brentford this summer after a half-season stint at League One winners Portsmouth.

The 21-year-old, who sees his deal with the Bees expire in 2025, managed two goals in 12 outings for Pompey.

It remains to be seen what Brentford have planned for Peart-Harris next season and it is not said whether the Owls' interest is in a permanent or loan deal. However, he is on the radar at Hillsborough having been eyed in January.

Stepping up to the Championship? There were bright sparks from Peart-Harris in his stint with Portsmouth but as suggested by his return of goals and assists, he didn't have the biggest of impacts on John Mousinho's title-winning side.

Nevertheless, there were some promising performances from the former Chelsea prospect and having previously impressed in League One with a struggling Forest Green Rovers, it would be interesting to see how he would fare in the Championship.

He can operate in a range of roles, featuring out on the left-wing as well as in central positions as an attacking midfielder or central midfielder. That level of versatility would make him a solid addition to any side.

A loan or permanent? While it is not mentioned what deal Sheffield Wednesday have in mind, it could be that either a loan or permanent deal for Peart-Harris are feasible.

Rohl made good use of the loan market in the January transfer window with moves for James Beadle, Ike Ugbo and Ian Poveda in January and it would be a big surprise if the Owls didn't look to repeat that trick.

At the same time though, with only a year remaining on Peart-Harris' contract, it could be that Brentford look to cash in with a sale now to avoid losing him for nothing next summer.

Time will tell just what his club have in mind, but it looks as though Sheffield Wednesday will be keeping a keen eye on developments regardless.
