Tottenham Hotspur have marked Brentford's prolific striker Ivan Toney as a prime target for the upcoming transfer window.

Reports recently surfaced suggesting Spurs had made a PS40 million bid for the England international, with the personal terms already agreed.

These reports claimed that the Lilywhites' initial bid was rejected, with Brentford demanding PS65m but might settle for a fee close to PS55m.

However, Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge has publicly denied these rumours.

Responding via his official social media handle on X, Bridge stated, "Not remotely true," effectively debunking the story.
