Former Premier League manager Harry Redknapp has backed Liverpool to swat Brentford aside in the Premier League on Sunday - and believes Darwin Nunez will be at the fore of any potential Anfield triumph.
Thomas Frank's side travel to Merseyside with Liverpool knowing that victory will see them head into the November international break level on points with Arsenal, who are currently second, and possibly table-topping Manchester City, who travel to Chelsea later on in the afternoon.
And Redknapp is tipping Jurgen Klopp's team to navigate their way past a difficult Brentford outfit, currently sitting ninth in the table, and expects Nunez to be at the centre of a routine 3-1 win on home soil.
"It's been a tough couple of away trips for Liverpool. It's been such a good start to the season for this side and Anfield remains such a fortress," said Redknapp, speaking to Football Betting. "I still think people don't give Thomas Frank and Brentford enough credit, what a good side they are. They give everyone they play a tough game and they've always got a threat with the pace of the lads they've got up top. Brentford went to Chelsea and got the win, but I can't see similar.
"I love watching big Darwin Nunez, he's so involved in the game. He misses some chances, but his movement means he gets so many."
The former West Ham, Bournemouth and Tottenham Hotspur manager isn't alone in expecting Liverpool to end the weekend strong, however, with Paul Merson tipped them to run out 3-0 winners over the Brentford.
"I will go with Liverpool here. They ought to be ready for the game. They really did turn up for the Luton game last week like they were going to take them to the cleaners," Arsenal legend Merson told SportsKeeda. "However, they just kept squandering great chances with most of the good chances falling to the wrong personnel.
"They've just got to turn up with the right attitude and if they do that, they will win this game quite easily. It's quite tight up there at the top of the Premier League table and winning these games is the ask of the hour right now."
Meanwhile, Chris Sutton of the BBC has backed Liverpool to win 3-1.
