Man United injury fears as Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen update emerges

Manchester United have received a blow as Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen have both withdrawn from the Danish national team set up for their upcoming games.

Rasmus Hojlund looked to have suffered a hamstring problem against Luton Town and was replaced by Anthony Martial with the Danish striker trudging down the tunnel, which is never a good sign.

As for Christian Eriksen, the midfielder landed awkwardly after a challenge against the Hatters, so two more potentially concerning injuries for Manchester United to deal with.

The pair would add to the club's growing injury list if these omissions from their national team squads hint at a long-term absence for either player.

The pair have both been withdrawn from the national team with the Denmark X account saying: "Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund have both suffered injuries and will miss these upcoming games.

"Kasper Hjumland has selected Jesper Lindstrom and Jens Stryger Larsen for these decisive qualifying matches."

This would be yet another huge blow in a season that has gone from one crisis to another.

Martial's chance It's easy to forget that Martial has been at the Old Trafford club for nearly a decade, which would mean he would be able to get a testimonial.

The Frenchman will now surely get his chance in the first team if Hojlund's injury is one that would keep him out of action for a few weeks.

Martial has been inconsistent but it looks like the former AS Monaco forward will get his chance to lead the line and will need to prove himself to Ten Hag.
