Chelsea ahead of Arsenal, Man Utd, Spurs, and Villa in one key stat this season

Chelsea are now ahead of Aston Villa, Arsenal, Brighton, Tottenham, and Manchester United in one key attacking stat in the Premier League this season.

Of course, before we get into the praise it is important to state and remember that the only stat and THE most important one of all and the only one that matters is the current league position, and all of these clubs above are doing better than Chelsea at the moment in that department.

Sources: Manager names on Chelsea's shortlist to replace Mauricio Pochettino revealed! But again, we will celebrate wins no matter how small they are, and this is actually quite an interesting stat that Chelsea are doing well in and really makes their current league position looks even stranger.

According to Mozo Football, Chelsea have registered more big chances (59) in the Premier League than Aston Villa (52), Arsenal (49), Brighton (48), Tottenham (47) and Manchester United (40) currently.

This is actually a very good look for Mauricio Pochettino's Chelsea, although not such a good look for the forward players who have clearly missed too many big chances this season. It does make you wonder though, if they had one or two more players like Cole Palmer who scores goals for fun, maybe, just maybe, they would be in a much better league position right now.

Chelsea still have a good chance to finish the season strong now though and qualify for a European spot. With games in hand, it's literally on Chelsea now to decide their current fate at the end of this season and whether they will have to go another season without playing European football again or not.

Speaking of stats, Moises Caicedo has just overtaken Declan Rice in one key stat as well, showing how much better he is doing in recent games for Chelsea and that in fact, despite what some pundits have tried to say, he absolutely has not been a flop signing for the club. He also showed great maturity confronting Nicolas Jackson after the penalty incident on Monday night.
