Abdallah Sima may never start another game for Rangers again after what Philippe Clement has said about him recently.

The Senegal international, who moved to Ibrox on loan in the summer from Brighton, has battled injuries in 2024.

He was out for several weeks at the start of the year and once again is recovering from another setback.

Abdallah Sima may play few minutes for Rangers v Hearts Ahead of the Hearts game, Philippe Clement issued an update on him and said: "Sima will be back in selection to play some minutes, very little as his first step back."

With the Hearts clash on 18 May the second last game of the season which will be followed by a cup final against Celtic, it's highly unlikely that the 22-year-old will be at 100 per cent.

Clement is already airing on the side of caution and said that he'll be playing "very little" so that's likely to be the case in the Old Firm as well.

It would make no sense to start him if all he can play is 30 or 45 minutes and he'd much rather be brought off as an impact substitute.

Rangers still to make official announcement about Abdallah Sima No decision has been made over whether or not the Senegal international will join permanently or if Brighton would want to take a closer look at him over the summer.

Should he not return to Ibrox next season and with only two games to go, there is every chance of him not starting a game again for the Glasgow outfit.

He has been an exceptional signing for them over the summer as he has grabbed 15 goals and two assists in all competitions this season and will be dearly missed.

In other Gers news, a first-team player may be told to empty out his Ibrox locker soon as a 'Major Development' has emerged behind the scenes.
