35 Former Brighton and Hove Albion boss Roberto De Zerbi is reportedly leaning more towards the Manchester United job than any other club in Europe.
Erik ten Hag's destiny with fate is fast approaching and a definitive decision on his future is set to be made imminently, most probably after the FA Cup final this weekend.
A recent report by respectable Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio that was covered by The Peoples Person relayed that the prospect of Ten Hag being sacked by United is certain and there is no way back for the Dutchman.
Di Marzio revealed that some of the options the club are assessing to replace Ten Hag include Kieran McKenna of Ipswich Town, Mauricio Pochettino who just parted ways with Chelsea and De Zerbi.
This is not the first time the Red Devils have been linked to De Zerbi.
Last Saturday, Brighton confirmed in a shock statement that the 44-year-old would leave the Amex after the final game of the season against United.
Soon after, De Zerbi spoke to reporters and admitted that while he doesn't have a job lined up, he hopes to continue working in the Premier League.
Alfredo Pedulla has now given a slight update on the situation and indicated that the tactician's wish is indeed to remain in England and his heart is set on the United managerial post.
Pedulla wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "The dream of De Zerbi is Manchester United.
""There are other possible candidates, we will see if dreams help us live better.
"Pedulla notes that a source presumably close to De Zerbi disclosed, "Something will happen, he would like the Premier League (Manchester United would be a dream), but we need concrete facts and not media chatter.
" Da editoriale di ieri sera: il sogno di #DeZerbi e il #ManchesterUnited.
Ci sono altri eventuali candidati, vedremo se i sogni aiutano a vivere meglio"Qualcosa accadra, a lui piacerebbe la Premier (il Manchester United sarebbe un sogno), ma servono fatti concreti e non.
