Would Ben Hamer be able to step into James Beadle's shoes at Sheffield Wednesday It's likely that Beadle will see out the entirety of the 2024/25 Championship campaign under Rohl at Sheffield Wednesday, however if he was to over-perform with Sheffield Wednesday, it wouldn't be out of the realms of possibility that the 19-year-old is recalled to play for Brighton or to be sent to a fellow Premier League side.
The inclusion of the clause does raise a question on whether fellow recruit Hamer would be able to step up and replace Beadle if he was to move on.
The 36-year-old has often been utilised as a back-up goalkeeper throughout his long career, playing for 13 clubs since 2005.
The journeyman has 158 Championship appearances to his name, most notably playing 19 games for Watford last season.
Hamer featured regularly last season in place of regular starter Daniel Bachmann between November and March, however was only able to keep three clean sheets for the Hornets.
If Beadle was to unexpectedly move on, Rohl should have a back-up plan of bringing in an extra recruit in the January transfer window.
