It proved a frustrating international break for Pompey's jet-setting trio, yet the Fratton faithful won't be complaining.

The Blues lost Mark O'Mahony, Terry Devlin and Sammy Silvera to international commitments and, with each pencilled in for two matches, the potential for injury remained a genuine concern.

Not that John Mousinho should have worried, as it turned out.

For a team devastated by injury once again this season, reassuringly there appear to be no fresh casualties.

Certainly there was minimal involvement to have collected a knock and niggle, although Pompey now await their returns to fully assess the situation.

The Brighton loanee linked up with Republic of Ireland's Under-21s in the international break for two 2025 Euro Championship qualifiers, yet totalled just 22 minutes.

He was introduced off the bench in the 77th minute in a 1-1 draw against Norway, with Shamrock's Johnny Kenny and Millwall's Aidomo Emakhu preferred as the attackers.

For yesterday's encounter against Italy Under-21s, two changes were made, including Bristol City striker Sinclair Armstrong coming in for Emakhu, but O'Mahony remained as a substitute.

He was eventually involved in the 81st minute as the fixture finished 1-1, which meant Eire cannot now qualify for Euro 2025.

Similarly, there was a distinct lack of match action for Devlin with Northern Ireland's Under-21s in their Group F fixtures, totalling 36 minutes.

He was named on the bench for a 5-0 victory over Azerbaijan, before being introduced in the 73rd minute.

The midfielder was again overlooked for a starting spot in yesterday's trip to Luxembourg, instead having to settle for a substitute appearance in the 71st minute in the 1-1 draw.

He failed to make the 23-man match-day squad for Thursday's 3-1 victory over China under new head coach Tony Popovic.

And the attacker was once more overlooked for their visit to Japan, which ended in a 1-1 draw to leave them second in Group C.
