Newcastle United have been handed a timely injury boost on the back of the latest international break.

While Newcastle have lost Kieran Trippier to injury, the Magpies' squad is actually getting stronger.

It was recently reported that Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson will be fit to face Brighton, which is a major boost for Eddie Howe. He has not been able to rely on an out-and-out striker in recent weeks, and will be delighted to have Isak and Wilson available for selection again.

However, neither player has been pictured in the training photos that Newcastle United have uploaded to their official website.

But while Toon fans await official confirmation that Isak and Wilson are fit again, another player has been spotted back on the grass.

The 18-year-old has been pictured training alongside his Toon teammates, as Eddie Howe prepares his players to take on Brighton at St James' Park on Saturday.

Whether or not the midfielder is involved in that game remains to be seen, as Newcastle are going to be careful with Miley upon his return to fitness.

Regardless, it is great to have the teenager back. Last season was incredible for the local lad, but it ended in difficult circumstances.

Miley suffered a back injury whilst away on international duty in March, with his last Newcastle appearance being the FA Cup quarter final defeat to Manchester City on March 16th.

That ended his season, but Miley would suffer a further setback ahead of the summer. He broke his metatarsal ahead of pre-season, and is only just returning to first-team training.

Jason Tindall called Miley 'exceptional' back in February, and the Toon coaching staff will be delighted to welcome the academy graduate back into the fold.

Newcastle's England stars back in Toon training Newcastle United also have their England stars back in training.

Anthony Gordon and Tino Livramento have been pictured back with the Magpies after their international exploits. They were part of the England squad that lost to Greece then beat Finland in the Nations League.

On the subject of Greece, Odysseas Vlachodimos has also been spotted back in training. He picked up two wins for his country during the international break, including one over England at Wembley Stadium.
