Burnley held at Watford

Share this page : Despite twice going in front, the under-21s had to settle for a point this afternoon from a 2-2 draw against Watford at Vicarage Road.

We went in front with an Ackeme Francis-Burrell goal after just eleven minutes but the lead last just six minutes before Michael Adu-Poku drew the home side level.

It was all square at half time but seven minutes into the second half we were back in front when Joe Westley scored his first goal since returning from his loan at Fylde. But with twenty minutes remaining, Watford drew level again when Laken Torres took advantage of a mix up at the back.

That's how it remained but the point has taken us above Hull and Fleetwood on goal difference; both were beaten today.
