Burnley star gives green light to Manchester United transfer

Manchester United are believed to be sussing out the transfer market in search for a new midfielder ahead of the 2024/25 season.

The primary target has been Paris Saint-Germain's Manuel Ugarte but a deal has yet to materialise due to demands set by the Ligue 1 champions.

Although Ugarte failed to keep his place in Luis Enrique's side last season, PSG are struggling to come to terms with their players decreasing in value.

I'm sure they would be more understanding of that if their interest in Jadon Sancho was genuine.

Multiple reports suggest United are looking elsewhere after making initial approaches for Burnley's Sander Berge and Monaco's Youssouf Fofana.

According to TEAMtalk, Burnley midfielder Berge has said 'yes' to joining United.

The Norway international has been heavily linked with a surprise move to Old Trafford over the past week and Sky Sports claim that 'initial discussions' between Burnley and United had taken place.

It is now reported that the player is keen on a move to M16 and that a 'tempting bid' is being prepared for Burnley.

Berge joined Burnley last summer and was part of their team that suffered relegation to the Championship.
